Issue

The GoLive Welcome screen may allow a site to open before MenuMachine has finished initializing.

This may cause problems when working with menus.

The Welcome Screen should be turned off.

Solution

We do not recommend that you use the Welcome Screen if MenuMachine is installed.

To turn off the GoLive Intro Screen (GL6) or Welcome Screen (GoLive CS, CS2, 9), launch GoLive and follow the instructions for your version:

GoLive 9 Welcome Screen:

  1. Select the Don't Show Again checkbox then close the window.
  2. When you relaunch GoLive you will not see the Welcome Screen.
  3. To open a site, use File > Open and locate the .site file of the site you wish to open.

If you ever want to enable the Welcome Screen again, you can turn it on using:
Preferences > General > At Launch > Show Intro/Welcome Screen.

GoLive CS2 Welcome Screen:

  1. Uncheck the Show This Dialog at Startup checkbox then Close.
  2. When you relaunch GoLive you will not see the Welcome Screen.
  3. To open a site, use File > Open and locate the .site file of the site you wish to open.

GoLive CS Welcome Screen:

  1. Uncheck the Show This Dialog at Startup checkbox then Close.
  2. When you relaunch GoLive you will not see the Welcome Screen.
  3. To open a site, use File > Open and locate the .site file of the site you wish to open.
