Issue

GoLive crashes when a Head Action is deleted in Layout view.

Solution

This is a GoLive bug which we cannot fix.

You can delete the Action code in Source mode (if you are familiar with the markup of this code) or try this:

(If the menu uases a lot of Actions, Frame settings or Highlight options set up, read the note below the instructions.)

  1. Remove the menu from the page. (See note below before proceeding)

  2. Go to Source view. Save the page.

  3. Go back to Layout view. Delete the Action.

  4. Place the menu on the page again.

  5. Check all the MenuMachine Inspector settings for the menu such as Actions, Frame and Highlight options e.g. don't forget to remove the Action you have deleted if it is attached to the menu.

Note:
If you have a lot of Actions defined, or you have set the Highlight or Frame options of the menu, you may want to preserve these settings. Rather than deleting the menu from the page in step 1, make a new blank page in your site and then open it. Copy the menu onto the blank page and the settings will be kept with the menu. Then, in step 4, just move the menu from the blank page back onto the original page and the settings will be restored.

Don't forget to remove the Head action setting from the menu if that was the Head action you removed from the page!
