There are a few ways to copy a menu from one site to another. The method you use to do this will depend on whether or not you already have a menu set up in the site you wish to import the other menu into and whether the menus use images.
We'll define the sites for the following explanations:
Site 1 - Site containing menu which will be copied into Site 2
Site 2 - Site into which the menu will be copied
Method 1:
Using the Themes feature of MenuMachine
On page 82 of the User Guide is a tutorial explaining how to save a menu as a Theme.
Download User Guide
Create a Theme based on an existing menu in Site 1. Once your menu is saved as a theme, you can open Site 2 and create a new menu using your theme. You will not have to copy anything between sites, even if the menu uses images. All images will be saved with the theme. You will need to check menu links.
Method 2:
If Site 2 contains an existing menu
In the Finder or Windows Explorer, open the menumachine folder in Site 1. Locate the folder which corresponds to the name of the menu you want to copy. Copy that [menuname] folder into the menumachine folder in Site 2. (If you replace the whole menumachine folder, you will lose any existing menus in Site 2.)
Open Site 2 in GoLive. Use the Refresh button in the MenuMachine 2 Objects Palette to see the menus. Note that the links in the menu items will need to be updated. Any images used in the menu which aren't in the [menuname] folder will also need to be copied from Site 1 to Site 2.
Method 3:
If Site 2 does not contain an existing menu
In the Finder or Windows Explorer, copy the whole menumachine folder from Site 1 to Site 2.
