Nov 9, 2007 GoLive security fix prevents GoLive CS2 loading

Issue

Adobe released a security fix for GoLive released on November 9, 2007. When this update is installed, GoLive CS2 will crash when loading MenuMachine. GoLive 9 is unaffected.

Solution

This is a known issue.

Unfortunately, Adobe released these plugins without the normal beta process and we did not have the opportunity to test the updated plugins before their release.

The updated plugins appear to totally break GoLive extensions that use PNG images in their UI, including MenuMachine.

At the present time there is nothing we can do about this. The only workaround is NOT installing the updated plugins. We believe the security risk of not installing the plugins to be extremely low.

We realize that this situation is not ideal and are in communication with Adobe regarding a fix.
