If you have already created the menu page outside of a site, you just need to create a site and move your menu page into it.
Here's how…
1) Save and close your menu page.
2) Create a new GoLive site using the instructions here.
Remember that the path to your site file or site folder MUST NOT contain non-alphanumeric characters such as option-f (ƒ), the trademark symbol(), forward slashes (/), back slashes (\) etc. Always use standard alpha-numeric characters when naming folders.
The finished folder structure should look like this:
| GoLive 6.x: |
|
GoLive CS: |
 |
|
 |
3) Copy your menu page into either the My Site folder (GoLive 6.x) or the web-content folder (GoLive CS).
4) Open the site in GoLive.
5) Open the menu page, make a small change (like adding then deleting some text) and save the page. Saving the menu page triggers MenuMachine to copy the support files it needs into the GeneratedItems folder.
6) Open the GeneratedItems folder. It may contain:
| CSScriptLib.js |
- |
appears only if you have Actions in your page |
| menumachine.js |
- |
MUST appear for menu to work
|
| menutriangle.gif |
- |
appears only if you are using "Show arrows for submenus" |
| menutriangledown.gif |
- |
appears only if you are using "Show arrows for submenus" |
| menutriangleleft.gif |
- |
appears only if you are using "Show arrows for submenus" |
| spacer.gif |
- |
MUST appear for menu to work
|
Note: The GeneratedItems folder must be uploaded when you upload the rest of the files in your site.
Now that you have a properly structured site with a GeneratedItems folder containing the MenuMachine support files, you will be able to preview your menu pages correctly in web browsers locally or from any computer.
