Changing the size of menu items

You can change the Width and Height of individual menu items.

1) Click on the menu item that is to be changed in the menu Tree View area.

2) Enter the values (in pixels) into the Size Width and Height fields.

In the example below, the menu items were given the following widths:
'Home' 50px, 'Products' 70px and 'About this company' 130px.

3) To save time, the height of one item was changed to 20px and the Copy Formats button was used to copy that value to the other two top level items.

4) Remember to change items in the same submenu to all have the same width.

If you make a narrow item but increase its height, text can be made to wrap inside the menu item.

Note: You can Use the Base Menu Resize button to enter the width or height or both if you know the total width and/or height your menu should be.

The following dialog will appear.

This feature will automatically divide the width or height by the number of items on the top level of the hierarchy.

For example, if you have 5 top-level menu items in a horizontal menu and the total width must be 400px, each will be given a width of 80px. (If dividing produces an uneven number, the remainder is applied to the last item.)
