The Text Options are found in the Format tab of the MenuMachine inspector.
1) By default, left alignment with a padding of 5px from the left and 5px from the top are selected.
2) Use the drop down list to change the text alignment to Left, Center or Right.
3) Change the padding to suit. The values move the text away from the top and left of a menu item. The pixel value is approximately from left and top of a capital letter. Here a value of Left 20px Top 12px was used.
4) The padding settings are useful if you want to change the height or width of menu items. Let's look at improving the below example with some padding applied.
Before: The submenus have a reduced height, and the text has jammed up against the left edge of the menu box as left alignment was chosen with 0px inset. The text should also move up slightly as the default 5px from the top makes the text come too close to the bottom of the menu item.
After: With some refined padding the text looks a lot more comfortable.

The settings used for the above menu are shown in the Inspector at left.
Note that Submenu options is chosen (the top level has centered text and a different font and font size).
Padding has been changed to suit the smaller menu item height. |
