The Right to Left check box would be used       
if you had a menu that aligned with the
right-hand edge of a browser window and
you wanted the submenus to open into the
page (from right to left). Example at right.


The From Bottom check box would be used if you had a menu that aligned with the bottom edge of a browser window (or close to it) and you wanted the submenus to open up into the page (from the bottom up). Example below.
