How do I delete my GoLive Preferences file?
If you have a corrupt preferences file, you can get a number of errors. Deleting the preferences often solves many issues. GoLive automatically generates a new preferences file the next time you launch it.
Solution: Delete the GoLive preferences using these instructions:
If you have had more than one version of GoLive on the system, delete all sets of preferences.
What you need to do first is quit GoLive,
THEN
Windows:
Search your C: drive for the files:
Adobe GoLive 6.prf (GoLive 6); and/or
Adobe GoLive 7.prf (GoLive CS) and/or
Adobe GoLive 8.prf (GoLive CS2)
and delete all files if you have them.
On Windows XP, these files are usually located at:
C:\Documents and Settings\YourUserName\Application Data\Adobe\Adobe GoLive\Adobe GoLive X.prf
The folder "Application Data" might be hidden, in which case you may need to turn on the viewing of invisible folders in Tools > Folder Options > View in Windows Explorer.
OR
Macintosh (Mac OS X):
Open the folder
Users > Your user name > Library > Preferences
You should then delete the file(s):
Adobe GoLive 6 prefs (GoLive 6); and/or
Adobe GoLive 7 prefs (GoLive CS) and/or
Adobe GoLive 8 prefs (GoLive CS2)
OR
Macintosh (Mac OS 9):
Locate the file System Folder :: Preferences :: Adobe GoLive 6 Prefs and delete it.
THEN
When you re-launch GoLive you will have to enter the MenuMachine serial number again.
Once GoLive has launched, you must quit GoLive to ensure the preferences are saved.
The next time you launch GoLive you should not be asked for the MenuMachine serial number.
