Menu is greyed out : Inspector is blank : can't edit the menu

If your menu is greyed out like the one in the picture above, you will not be able to edit it. Clicking on the menu will show a blank MenuMachine Inspector at right. Solution: Turn on Parse MenuMachine Objects under the Special menu in GoLive. The menu will return to normal and you will be able to edit it in the Inspector.

Go to the menus : Special > MenuMachine > Parse MenuMachine Objects and make sure parsing is checked.

When you turn OFF Parse MenuMachine Objects you will see the following message...

Turning Parse MenuMachine Objects OFF is useful when you have a large menu and editing the page is taking a long time.

You cannot edit the menu in this mode but you can edit the rest of the page. Just turn parsing on when you need to edit the menu again.
